Mid-Week Report (Miami)

by Joe Johnson
Oct 12, 2005

The Hurricanes have been getting nasty since losing to Florida State and narrowly escaping Clemson. Just ask Duke. Miami held the Blue Devils to eight passing yards and 128 overall. Had it not been for an 81-yard touchdown run by Ronnie Drummond, Miami would have held Duke to double digits in offensive yards. That play kept Miami from shutting out Duke. Miami is getting ready for what should be another easy win when it travels to Philadelphia to take on Temple. The Owls are one team that could be worse than Duke. Temple is behind the Blue Devils in passing offense and look at what the Hurricanes did to Duke. Offensively, Miami is putting up the points, too. The Hurricanes have averaged 35 points in their last four games.
