Mid-Week Report (Boston College)
by Joe Johnson Mathias Kiwanuka was lucky not to be injured when Virginia tackle Brad Butler chop blocked him from behind. Kiwanuka already suffered a sprained ankle earlier in the game and the blindside hit from Butler could have caused a serious injury. Football is a dangerous game but Butler's action was unwarranted. When Al Washington stood up for his teammate and confronted Butler, he was ejected for his actions. Kiwanuka later was ejected for retaliating against Butler. By Tuesday, Virginia announced that Butler, who finished the game against BC, was suspended for its upcoming game against Florida State.
